Fishing in Michigan
Michigan is surrounded by four Great Lakes and has more shoreline than any state except Alaska. Steelhead and salmon runs in tributaries of Lake Michigan and Superior draw anglers statewide. The Au Sable River is a legendary brown trout fishery. Inland lakes hold walleye, muskie, and smallmouth bass. Lake Erie walleye fishing is world-class.
