Fishing in New Jersey
New Jersey has outstanding saltwater fishing with Raritan and Delaware Bays producing striped bass, bluefish, and weakfish. Offshore canyons hold bluefin tuna, mahi, and swordfish. Freshwater fishing includes Delaware River bass and shad, plus trophy bass in many of the state's lakes. Belmar, Point Pleasant, and Cape May are major fishing ports.
