Fishing in North Dakota
North Dakota is a walleye powerhouse. Lake Sakakawea on the Missouri River is one of the largest man-made lakes in the US and produces monster walleye, northern pike, and smallmouth bass. Devils Lake in the northeast is nationally recognized as a top walleye fishery. The Missouri River below Garrison Dam holds excellent populations of walleye and catfish.
